Patrick Simon
Patrick Simon was admitted to the Bar in 1973 and co-founded the firm Villeneau Rohart Simon in 1978.
He is a Doctor of Laws.
He is a litigator who enjoys the battle of ideas.
He has extensive experience in charterparty disputes, international arbitrations, freedom of trade, pollution cases, admiralty issues, and actions against strikes and boycotts.
He has conducted numerous ship arrests which involved “piercing the corporate veil” and is instructed in a number of major maritime disasters such as the Costa Concordia.
He is the author of several books on the philosophy of law.
He was President of the French Maritime Law Association (AFDM) from 2007 to 2012 and is a titulary member of the Comité Maritime International (CMI).
